Kristin Fischer is set to join CNN as its Space and Defense Correspondent in July 2021. In her role as Correspondent for Defence and Space at CNN, she is responsible for covering all aspects of space, from NASA and the newly formed Space Force up until commercial space firms, as well as the rise and development of tourism to space. Kristin's parents are each NASA astronauts. Kristin spent her childhood in space. Kristin was a local television reporter for Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., which she won the Emmy Award for her work as the "one-man-band" reporter prior to being hired by CBS in the year 2015. Kristin's expertise as a camerawoman led her to found Field Mouse Films which specialized making documentary-style videos for clients of corporate nature, like Uber Hotels & Resorts, and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin holds earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism which she received at Boston University. She is married to her husband in Washington, D.C., and she has a 3 year old daughter.
